Our Story
In 2019, our co-founder Sarah was running a small environmental nonprofit in California. After expanding their programs to three additional states, she found herself drowning in compliance requirements - different deadlines, different forms, different agencies.
Despite her best efforts with spreadsheets and calendar reminders, the organization missed a state registration renewal. The result: a $1,000 fine and weeks of paperwork to reinstate their registration.
She looked for software to help but found only expensive enterprise solutions or generic calendar tools that didn't understand nonprofit compliance. So she partnered with Michael, a software engineer with nonprofit sector experience, to build something better.
StatusKeep launched in 2023 with a simple mission: help nonprofits of all sizes track every deadline, every state, in one place - for a price that respects their budgets.
